The Old Theater Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Old Theater

In the old theater
The marionettes
Each to each other
Spoke
Into the night
But left
Midnight to strike
Left
The Dantesque dance
To grow
Spirits go round and
Round
To the medieval sound:
And
In a soft whispered
Undertone
In the old theater
The marionettes
Each to each other
Spoke
Into the night
