The One Chance Poem by Alex Choi

The One Chance

I had a chance as I was younger to ask her if she will be mine. However I was afraid to tell her. She was my world and when I messed up that chance. I was the the one who felt they did not have a soul to pick me up off the floor. My life is nothing without her. I had no contact with her. When I close my eyes she is in my mind. I am sorry for the trouble I have caused her but she didn't care she kept walking. That was the day I felt my first tear dropp fall down off my cheek. I can only dream of making things right. I hold a heavy burden down in my heart. The first time I laid my eyes on her I was pierced by her arrow of love. Years later I find myself alone because I was scared to ask I cannot talk to my friends. I hope when another chance like this comes along I will mess up like the other times. I will stay broken under the surface without meaning. My friends were right I was worthless. She is long gone and my just a sucker for her heart love.
