The One Who Is, But Is Not, Who Retaliates For The Ones Who Are Poem by Simone Robinson

The One Who Is, But Is Not, Who Retaliates For The Ones Who Are

Rating: 4.5

Be my laced sugar
Spindled and swindled
Because I am “woman“
And, however, much power you think you have
Does not exist
If I can draw you in
You are entangled
This is not against your will
I merely heighten
Your
Desires
Witch
Enchantress
Mystic
Is what I am called by many
Of course!
Bestow upon me
The faulty title
But grant thee and your kind leeway
Due to the fact that I am “woman”
I should gently comply to your whims and then casually
Let you slither past me in the paved streets of our town Centre
Accompanied by that treacherous whimsical grin sloughed onto your face
No no no
That is not how it shall play out
I will grant thee asylum
A silent moratorium
From the babbling wretch you call monogamy
But I come with a price, darling
With great intrigue comes greatly
Heightened interest
Every second you stay
You lose your value
Stay a while
But go quick
I grow hungry
for
I am no Ordinary woman
