Wandering Words Poem by Simone Robinson

Wandering Words

A violin has potential to awaken a heart with her lovely tune
Just as words have the potential
To free someone
The wind be but silent, unless mother Earth beckons for her to whisper
As are words silent to man unless expressed
Beckoning for inner joy to once again
Be present
Ask a poet why they are poet
With a purposeful
Grin
They shall answer
For poetry
Is purpose
to be able to crochet words seamlessly
Together
I put my heart together
And may my mind relinquish her stress
I can write paths to
Foreign
Regions
In which I let no one enter
Oh,
but my words do love to wander
