The One Who Is Free Poem by Francis Duggan

The One Who Is Free

The one who is free live as she or he choose
With nothing to gain in life or nothing to lose
Without anyone for to tell them what to do
I am not of that sort and what about you?
Though this is a question of yourself you must ask
On your day to day life are you tied to a task
Do you work under a manager or are you a boss
And worrying that this year your business is running at a financial loss
Your bank manager threatening to close your credit down
And repossess your family home in the top end of the town
The one who has big worries is one who is not free
At least anyhow this is how it seems to be
Those who are free have nothing to gain or nothing to lose
And are happy in their lives and live how they choose.
