The One Who Killed The Innocents Poem by Francis Duggan

The One Who Killed The Innocents

Rating: 2.5

He went into the school-house and shot young Amish school girls dead
He did it execution style a bullet in the head
He was a good husband and father to our children his wife of him she said
To me that seems confusing since at least that's what i read,
Good men do not kill innocent girls that is what i believe
But his wife she sees it differently and for him she does grieve
Tis said that for something that was in his past against women he held a grudge
And after his senseless act he took his own life to become his own judge
Due to a grudge that he had nursed for years he lost all self control
The anger that was gnawing in him had eaten into his soul
Due to a grudge he grew depressed and he ended his life in shame
And yet he must have loved his children and his wife the murderer she says not the same
Man she had loved and she had known for more than a decade of years
And the one who killed the innocents was worth a woman's tears.
