The Open Up Call Poem by dejen kidane

The Open Up Call

Rating: 5.0

Beautiful words may carry away a painful curse.
And it is known but often forgotten
The word ‘life’ can’t be lived, nor can it be shared.

But a journey through the ink seems to be boundless.
While it makes you a life spectator,
Builds a thin wall that seems to be thick in your mind
Blocking the gateway to life’s experience

May be it is your mind, the curfew to your liberty
Giving you reasons to stay, which are rooted from its fear.

Life is out there
And you are the fringe

This is very good Dejen. I poem well written and with a sound message about 'doing' rather than 'talking about it'. I particularly enjoyed your phrase: 'But a journey through the ink seems to be boundless.' A highly original and arresting expression. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
