The Order Poem by eric tate

The Order

Through the black leaves and crooked trees
Stood a red devil dancing in the breeze
'I sense a holy knight in sun-kissed gold'
'A poor, holy thing without a soul sold'
Toward the symbol of light he danced
Toward the beautiful knight he pranced
'Tell me, young man, fair and blue eyed'
'What use is your beauty without any pride'
'Be not a slave to humility and shame'
'Have a little fun, keep warm by my flame'
'Take delight in your arrogance, your will, your steel'
'Cast out God and make the men and beasts kneel'
Tall the knight stood, ambitious and proud
and so he swore his outh, certain and aloud
'I pledge my order to the red horned king'
'in return for wealth in gold and of fame to sing'
'In the devils name we will carve our way'
'We are the Order, from this day until our last day'
