-the Other Day, Foot In Mouth- Poem by David Howerton

-the Other Day, Foot In Mouth-

Heard them
talking
thinking
I couldn't hear
but fooled them
every word was heard.

And don't hold
it against
them.

But the words
are at tip of
tongue
almost
put foot
in mouth
leaving
no way out.

The anger
inside
needs letting out
sure, but
not all over
those
who've helped.
