The Other Room Poem by Ekwueme Kelechi

The Other Room

When I marry
I will not make my wife
A woman of the other room
I will keep my children in dark

Over its meaning
I will never teach them
To be regular customers
Of the other room

A room where joy abounds
From a source
Which most entices
The Oga of our country

From Oga's words
It's a room that most pleases him
