Shadow in the Night
The Other Side - Poem by Shadow in the Night
Our lives are full of questions
Difficult decisions to make.
Every day we come upon crossroads.
Which path do I take.
I stop to look in the mirror,
to question who I am.
But the person staring back's eyes are more severe.
It's a different me.
On the other side a person looks back,
who's me but not.
Who took a different path,
and didn't like what they got.
Do I want me for who I am?
Or what I could be.
Do I like that other me.
Do I like what I see?
Thee other side holds a different reality.
We have to make the choice to choose.
If we want to be the person in that reality,
or who we are in this one.
It's your choice.
