The Other Side Of The Other Side Poem by Indika Thushara Gamage

The Other Side Of The Other Side

Rating: 5.0

I like to dance with butterflies
In a dark room
I like to allow them to suck my nectar
And love me and sting my heart
I like to sleep with them in a closed room

I like to write on their feathers
Butterfly is a circle; the sun also is a circle
When I hands up
You will see my chest and the ocean
The sun is the end of dark
Dark gives birth to dreams
Pushed in deep water
Water takes shape of the bottle
Sometime takes shape of the lake
The moon charms in the night
She takes sun's mood
Shadow of the sun is the moon

The moon invites me to sleep with her
In the bed of cloud but not belonged to her
She was waiting for blossom of mid night flowers
Unfaithful pain harassed her
At a fairy's funeral
I only want to sing for her sleeping
Behind the burning bed
And this fairy but not this fairy
Has coaxed me
In the day carnival
I still like to dance with butterflies

Letters lay with the sun
Sun rays write poems on leaves
Butterflies read those poems
I see moon's face with many tear drops
On the other side of a leave
My fingers did not move
But this poem has been written
On the current of the ocean
I still like to dance with butterflies
