The Pain Poem by Christian Cortes

The Pain

The pain in her eyes vivid
Her life was always twisted
Abusing them drugs to get lifted
She never knew real love existed
Because her dad was never there
Her mom didn't care
Her older brother was never around
And her older sister got around
Drug dealer told her he love her but never did
He left her pregnant with two more kids
Always imagined she have that fairy tale princess life
Beautiful white gown becoming some prince wife
But that was nothing but a dream
Got addicted to drugs known as a neighborhood fiend
Kids never had much to eat
Her older son looked for love in the streets
She feeling concerned ain't hear from him in weeks
Cops call her to the morgue her son under white sheets
She feel to the grown her knees got weak
She cuts herself to escape the mental pain
Accidentally cuts her vein
And now her daughter doesn't know what to do but does what mother does to
