The Pain Builds Poem by Brandon Hoeg

The Pain Builds

Rating: 4.0

black nails, black clothes, black infected heart
all he wants is a friend and a new fresh start
but everything he ever loved was destroyed and torn apart
hes disguised with fake smiles, he hides his true self in the dark

heart so full of hate, patience empty
he thinks to himself 'the devil must have sent me'
'my angels came to visit but my demons never left me'
he picks up the rusty blade he cuts so slow and gently

when the blood drips down he has a crazed adrenalin
he makes another slit and he sees the red again
the blade's his drug of choice its the only medicine
he knocks on heavens doors but gods not letting in

with a world so cold, hes about ready to explode
the snow hit his soul now his hearts frozen cold
will he ever care again? sadly nobody knows
will anybody notice the grief and pain he shows
it'll come to a point where he can no longer hold
rise against his pain open up and unload.

I like the way you use rhyme...when reading it flows like a rap. I feel emotion-sad, lonely when i read this..
