The Parade Poem by David Howerton

The Parade

Couldn't help watching
the parade
spent morning
with coffee
and TV
parade on.
Things of beauty
that last so short a time.
Enjoy each flower and plant
covered creation.
Twisting in chair leg under me
almost numb,
get up walk around
waiting
for feeling to return.
