The Past Poem by Beth Joel

The Past

Rating: 3.5

Taking it all out, emptying the recycle bin,
Making it rest in peace, turning the page,
Walking away, letting go,
Turning a blind, eye let it fade way,
Pushing it away, forgetting it…..

Doing all this is like climbing a tree from the middle,
A story that has only an ending,
Getting a salary without a job.

Settle things, accept it,
Stop living in denial; make it your friend,
Harmonize the rhyme; let it make you better,
Make it your inspiration, your motivator.
