The Patriot's Sonnet Iii Poem by Raymond Cabrera

The Patriot's Sonnet Iii

O motherland in verge to lose your fading breath;
I pity on your bloodshed cry every moment,
For which democratic passion pursuit till death
Thus I sweetly urged my rights but unheard and unsent
Time of change and reformation would soon be nearly
But why yet hide in fear by your passivity’s tomb?
Have catastrophes weakened you and became weary?
Or you’ll just let the hopeful youth die in your womb?
Filipino bloods were flowing with raging desire,
Arrogantly rising, pushing forth through dying economy;
Teach them again how to light the hopeful fire
Guide them in unity and put them in sorrow free,
O beloved motherland, may this serve as your last cry,
Through in war or peace, is it a must that everyone should die?
