The Penny



I toss a penny into the sea
And hope that you come back to me

I close my eyes and breathe a sigh
Wishing that you could see

That I was wrong and you were right
Everyday and every night

But now your gone
Because I couldn’t understand

So I hold this penny in my hand
Since you won’t come back in the end
