The Perfect Of Jewel Poem by Peter S. Quinn

The Perfect Of Jewel

Have I found a way through
The shadows of my lane,
I've been there for a long time
But perhaps always in vain;
For the truest road not lies
In the reasoning of one's brain,
But through the splendors joys
Where feelings of heart reign.

And if you find this - in you
All the purest of sincere gold,
You shall come there about too
And those treasures truly unfold;
For it is in the poet's fate
To break away from any rule,
For him it is never too late
To find the perfect of jewel.
