The evil demons from the past
are waking up with ease and fast.
Nationalism is spreading like the plague.

Based on myths and fantasy,
threatening our democracy,
nationalism is teaching you how to hate.

Tens of millions lost their lives in
world war one and two.
They were murdered, they were slaughtered,
just by people like me and you.

We leave behind a century
the bloodiest in history
with the greatest crimes against humanity.

We saw the soldiers marching on
with flags and patriotic songs:
a pure demonstration of insanity.

Tens of millions lost their lives in
world war one and two.
They were murdered, they were slaughtered,
they were people like me and you

Nationalistic tendencies
creating many enemies
again are threatening our society.

They try to make you drunk and blind,
to drive you wild and blow your mind
creating feelings of superiority.

Let's live together in a world of
peace and harmony.
Let's build bridges no more hatred
learn the lessons from history.

existing mainly in fantasy:
who remembers what it's all about.

A real or imagined enemy
that threatens our society:
