The Playground Poem by Jeff Fleischer

The Playground

I was passing the playground
And I stopped to watch a teenage girl
Pushing a little boy on a swing,
While a little girl rode around
On a bike.
Then the teenage girl
Rode around in the little boy's wheelchair,
Then hopped around on his crutches.
I watched the teenage girl move around,
Breathtaken and awed by her youthful
Exuberance, energy and enthusiasm.
Her dark skin and form were beautiful as well.
I watched the teenage girl put the little
Boy in the wheelchair.
And I moved away from the playground.
