Today is just beautiful
with sweet breezes blowing
and young men are mowing
the grass on the hill.
Today, all God's glory
is within us, around us
and we must bow in silence
our lives to fulfil.
If not for the Saviour,
who else gave this haven?
Which heart could we thank
for the pleasure we feel?
'Oh thank Thee dear Lord
for the sea and the mountains,
the trees and the sunshine...
for each daffodil,
for friends on the sidewalk
and loved ones around us
for our birth and our life
and the pleasure we feel.'
