The Poems That Are Not Poems Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Poems That Are Not Poems

Rating: 5.0

The poems that are not poems
The lines that falter at their own mediocrity
The frustration of the failure of all the years
The constant effort yielding constant nothing
The poems that are poems
The moments the world is so real and so beautiful
The wonder at the writing still
The gratitude at going on still at my age
The poems that are not poems
The poems that are poems
My work my life
And in the distance the loneliness of the forever silence
Of the absent readers.
