The Poet Alchemist Poem by Jackie Chou

The Poet Alchemist

Your work is beautiful
A diaphanous veil draped over your heart
Illumined under the light of my radar
Revealing your true character
You're a millionaire
Rolling in your wealth of diction
Your metaphors and rhymes
Lacking empathy and compassion
Oh, you alchemist
Stewing poison in your poem pot
When will you use your gift to build
Instead of destroy
Your million innocent fans
Who eat your words like soup
