Smiles Poem by Jackie Chou

Smiles

Rating: 4.5

Remove the grin on your face,
you creature of the night!

Your smile is ghastly,
like the Cheshire cat,
large yellow teeth gleaming
under the moonlight.

Your dimples are frozen on your cheeks,
to charm the unknowing passerby.

You laugh not to express joy
but to mock the innocent.

Your lips are upturned,
to hide a heart of the underworld.
