The Politically Incorrect Truth Poem by Sneha Murali

The Politically Incorrect Truth

We are a group, a democracy
with right to speak out and right to be free
our system, you see is a little inapt
you can say, our system's corrupt

Like some animal kingdom in the green
some sly foxes and slimy snakes are seen
with selfish mind and a greedy motive
how on earth can this system live?

Politicians making those promises fake
an embarrassment to this system they make
and we like a bunch of cattle some
follow every beat of their drum

Running a nation of people billions
comes secondary to them, first money millions
counting money on a day to day basis
rather than counting problems of many faces

Thinking they are better than the rest
and making us their bullet proof vest
for everything that they do wrong
it is the people who takes the fall

Speak out nation, speak out loud
speak to the people, speak to the crowd
we are not political puppets putting on a show
we are the victims, we deserve much more

Bribery, embezzlement and lot extortion
will we ever come up with a solution
throw these animals away from their seats
before this system they mercilessly beats

Thrown around like in a game of tennis
when will we ever fight this political menace
our nation, our system, our society's at stake
in our hands this problem we must take

We have the power to set things right
dont go down without a fight
to see things clear from right and wrong
cleaning this mess wil not take long

And soon we'll see honest to god people
who will lead our nation the way it needs to be led
and once we do our jobs and vote right
peaceful night we can sleep in our bed

Simply put, it is very simple and thoughtful. It is just amazing that you come with new stuff in your poems. This time it is the rhyme scheme I loved! ! ! Let's be optimistic about a change in the near future! ! !
