The Poor Girl-Child Of India (On The Eve Of Children's Day) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Poor Girl-Child Of India (On The Eve Of Children's Day)

The poor girl-child of India
Describe and delineate I,
She taking stale food
And the left-overs
Even after feeding her small brother.

Half-fed and half-clothed,
In a loose and torn frock
Smiles she
A country girl,
Quite neglected and ignored
In patriarchal homes.
