The Portal Poem by roshini samuel

The Portal

kiss me, if this be my last night,
for i dont know if i return.
This world must i leave
and journey back from whence i came.

sing me one last song.
Bade me good bye for now and ever more.
memories will i carry forth
and break my weary yoke of life.

The wind howls and shrieks.
i know i mustnt tarry any longer.
I run, i skip, i fall
i rise again with all my brawn.

The tide swells and foams
and i hasten to the portals
of arcadia's home.
'Welcome home, 'says the fulgent doorman
we have a full craft this night but
there is always room for one more.
