They posted The 10 Commandments in schools
That is now the new state rules,
Soon no longer will it be separation of church from state
Soon, the government will dictate.
I wonder if the government will follow the commandments as well
So, that their souls are not sent to hell,
Or is it just meant to be read for our children and us
Because, the politicians say they already know Jesus.
I wish the government will only listen
Having the 10 commandments doesn't make you a Christian,
Reading and knowing them all is something in it self
But, following and obeying them is strictly something else.
The government already tells us what books we can read
And what books we should ignore and not heed,
And how we should dress and the desires and thoughts we can pursue
Soon what else will the government be telling us what we can do.
They will post the 10 commandments on the school's wall
It is now the state's law,
But, shouldn't religion be taught at home and at church
And not by a politician who wants to preach politics from a perch.
The government is teaching our children to follow their plan
When they are teaching the children to follow their man,
A man who believes in lies and greed and supports bedlam
And for the 10 commandments, he has broken almost all of them.
