The Price Of Compromise Poem by victor onyango

The Price Of Compromise

Rating: 3.5

I know i should not go
But i still go
Is it my id or ego?
It indeed pushes me so far
I understand what it will cost me in the end
But do i have a choice?
I do it all the same
I have a will
Indeed a free will
To do so many things
To desire so much
Did i say covet?
This will is indeed attached to great responsibility.
I am a slave to myself
myself walks me around
Makes me feel proud
But what i know is not what i do
Just then i realize
That i have to pay a dear price
The price of compromise.

I associate with this. That moment when you need someone to save you from yourself. A good one.
