The Procedure Poem by Bazil Hyder

The Procedure

I felt it as a jolt
Buzzing through my knees
Blood started to zap and bolt
As sharp as a sting of a bee

When life rushed in
And memories spewed away
As cells died in my skin
I was no longer prey

As light went through my eyes
As sound entered my ears
Now as i rise
My body started to shift gears
As they started to fall apart
I knew that i missed the dart

Now I finally know
It was a scientific breakthrough
And as the dart flew
It was no longer something new

As i took my last breath
Everyone thought it was the end
O may no one try again
