The Professor Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Professor

Rating: 5.0

engrossed in an ocean of
thoughts
drifted on the pages
without edges

one swims through thick
letters
his ears drowned by
syllables

there is neither sun or moon
there

but alas! there are so many stars
against the
darkness of
his soul

he is space spreading like wings
of the phoenix
amidst his thirsty
students
