You shift the tides,
At once calm and knowing,
Embracing me,
And excepting us, we
Flood the hollow sink holes,
That go beyond and into infinity.
Our fire lights the sun,
And we become passionately
Involved into
One.
You shift the tides,
Believing me to be blind,
Assuming the darkness hides
But I know you by touch
And breath,
By glare
And scent,
By taste.
So you rise, concealing
Tranquility,
Beneath your belly,
And flooding these shores
I drown once more,
You shift these tides,
But I do not run,
I pray here amongst the ghosts
Of others,
Crowding the shores.
Waiting for day to calm your
Nerves
You shift these tides forever,
And I move comfortably
Within.
