The Purpose Poem by Randy McClave

The Purpose

The Church was created for the son
Not for flags, or politicians, or the gun,
When God looks upon the Church and sees us
The Church, is meant to worship only his son Jesus.
In Church there is only one who we must praise
Unto one should we ever lovingly gaze,
Unto one should there ever be a courtship
Only unto Jesus should we ever give our faith as we worship.
In Church we do not ever worship a flag
Someday it will rot into a rag,
And in Church we must never worship or praise a politician
That is not the Church's mission.
The Church was built to worship only our Lord
Upon every sanctified brick, every stone, and every board,
In Heaven there will be no guns, flags or political clan
The Church was created to worship Jesus, not an object or man.
