~~~~ The Pursuit of Company ~~~~
As I sit inside this Box
Looking out the Window
seeking what?
I just don't know
And as no one here talks
I hang on every word
as though they glow
Seeking What?
Well I just don't know
Sitting, Wondering, maybe, ,
a little Pensive as well, , ,
So lonesome inside these Cardboard walls, , ,
And no one listens, no one cares
Maybe a Blue Sky can be found
maybe It'll find me
I mean,
if I hang around
and no telling what tomorrow might bring
May as well wait and see
Meanwhile, , ,
won't you folks talk to me? ? ?
Talk to me
just talk to me, , ,
won't you please
Only asking
not much more can I do, , ,
except maybe, , , take the first step, ,
and Talk to you, , , , ,
Talk to me
oh won't you please, , ,
When that Whispering Wind
comes around
I wonder if it'd whisper to me, ,
I'm open to anything
so maybe the Wind'll Talk to me
Just talk to me please
won't ya'all just please
Talk to me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ End
as i read, i first thought 'you' were a nursing home resident, second you were a spider in a cardboard box (really) , and finally, though not seriously, a human corpse in a cardboard box about to be burned at a crematorium 'oven'; i saw one of those burning once. as for the photo: help me get my tongue back in my mouth! to MyPoemList bri lines 5-7: no one " talks" , but there are words? radio/TV? :)
