The Quest Poem by Ghazala Lari

The Quest

Searching for answers we roam
Seeking solace, hoping to mend
The pain that lingers, the hurt that's known
How to bridge the gap, how to transcend

The distance between us, a chasm wide
Neither can bear it, this separation's toll
How to rebuild what once was untied
A broken bond, a wounded soul

The image is blurred, voices faint
Yet unheard, in the silence we wait
How long must we bear this weight
Till clarity comes, dispelling the debate

Breaking down walls, guarding the heart
Fear of pain, fear of love's sting
How many miles till we restart
On a path that's true, where hearts sing

Is it arrogance, or pride that divides
Or doubts and obscurity, clouding our sight
Feelings unsound, where love hides
In the depths of our hearts, awaiting the light

What do you want to say, what do you need
Where shall I take you, what shall I do
Trust yourself, take the lead
Dive deep within, find the answers true

In the pool of questions, swim and seek
The answers lie within, the truth you'll find
Take the plunge, be bold and meek
Healing starts when you free your mind
