The Regrets Poem by Asim Mahmood

The Regrets

Good day, Diana May!
Her smile breaks the day!

Looks like she were holding a trophy
Appears in one hand - sipping a cup of coffee

The Blue scarf adds beauty to the sky
Birds wonder at her when they fly
From the heaven she alight
The pretty face cast a spell on the sight

There is light everywhere
With An innocent smile so rare

Cute is the hour when you speak
Your eyes just stop the time leap

For ages, watch her talk from dawn till dark
On that morning, she makes her mystical mark

Never forgot - the bus journey together
We were the birds of feather
Who would flock together!
When we used to go to the Souq
.. in such a beautiful weather.

Always wished the trip be ‘never ending'
So we could chat until some ‘happy ending! '

Alas! the fleeting moment..
always ended with a regret!
To weigh upon the heart
as if something there.. to expect

One world wasn't enough for two
Like me and you..
The bird couldn't help rue,
'If it were not for you..
I would have long time flew.'
