The Ripe Fields Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

The Ripe Fields

Rating: 5.0

She sighs like the sea in the rain
Always a world away from love
Do we live life like hollow dreams?

Lay upon the grass in summer meadows
Drift with clouds and butterflies
There in the blue sky I know truth
Everyday is a parade of joy
Every hour a new candle

Why are you so sad?
Only the seeds of giving grow
Who broke your heart?
Who let you down?
The lonely wait for you
The love you can give is hope
Someone is waiting for you
Every smile is a flower
I have lost my parents
I am divorced
Quit waiting to be rescued
Look out and see the ripe fields
