The Risk and the Rewards
In life, if you weigh the risk to the 'ol reward,
And the risk outweighs the glorious outcome,
Then maybe you do not want to look foolish
If you do not want to challenge God to a duel.
But if you can walk the fine line of brilliance
And arrogance, not succumbing to either vice
The world will be an oyster, opening up pearls
Amidst shells lying in a sea-bed of presents.
Yes, in life, if you double down on yourself,
And stand in the company of serious men
Who wish to defy your path to your dreams
Then it is upon you to overcome the machine
Of ill-will and triumph among those who see
You as a threat to them winning the reward;
Then you'll prove that the good 'ol lord chose
You to reap the rewards 'n benefits in this war.
It comes down to guts and glory for this story
To take a life of its own, and do not worry now
About looking like a fool for trying, otherwise
You will live with regrets, until your day of death.
For be bold, and own your decisions like a rogue
Or rebel in the fight of your life, to try and light
The path of darkness in the fog of uncertainty.
Yes, think outside the box, outsmart the red fox
Who has been burrowing in the garden of your life
For quite some time now, and when you can now,
Get on your knees and give praise for the days
You needed guidance in God showing you, a way.
