The endless currents push the river's glide,
From unknown depths it drifts toward the deep;
Its mountain youth must fade and turn the tide,
As heavy silt brings weary souls to sleep.
The gentle waves forget their rapid pace,
While choking moss wraps tight around the shore;
The toxic waste invades this silent space,
The faded mirror shapes the form no more.
Inside the breast a dried-out bank awakes,
The blazing summer steals the breath away;
The house of sand and crumbling structure breaks,
The final upstream calls the closing day.
The ocean takes this frame of fading breath,
Eternal peace dissolves the decay of death.
