The Road Home Poem by Marilyn Lott

The Road Home

Rating: 5.0

I’ve driven across this land
From coast to coast, my friend
Each state is so special
Such uniqueness they all lend

You would think that every single
Sunset and sunrise you see
Would be the same but no
They’re different and delightfully

Their colors are simply glorious
Captivatingly beautiful and sweet
You can’t believe your eyes
For they’re such an amazing treat

Human made structures too are great
Like magnificent barns and windmills
Add so much along the way
I just cannot get my fill

So if you haven’t traveled
And want to see sights so grand
Hop in your vehicle or a bus
And enjoy this wonderful land!
