The Sad Event Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Sad Event

Juliet smiled sweetly
but Romeo loved another,
he was a 'no-good' lover
and the day had come
for her to walk on by.

Romeo spoke discreetly
but happiness was fleeting;
he was forever crying
as the day had dawned
the day he said 'goodbye'.

They were dreaming of
times when they were free;
they were scheming to end
life peacefully...and today
their names are seen in
'TheTragedy of History'.
