The words of elders
Like soothing balms
Poured on sore wounds
Healing our mistakes
Correcting our downfall
Revealing our ignorance
The words of elders
Drawn from life's battlefields
And turbulent waters
Making the unborn existent
Sculpting youth to better men
They are not mere words
But seeds sown in us
To remind us of who we are
When we get lost
In the vanities of the world
To live in our hearts
As footprints
When you depart Mother Earth
To be handed down
To upcoming generations
The words of elders
That travel far
Like pillars, they hold
Firmly our foundations
Words of sages
With a price tag of HEED
