Wet dews on green vegetation
Greet my tender feet
With the awakening of dawn
The cloud cast aside its dark cloak
And clad itself with colours
Gently parting like curtains
For the shy but radiant sun
To make its appearance.
The sun smiles
And life springs forth,
Ants match in unison,
Leaves open up praising the sun,
Trees dance to the rhythm of the wind,
Birds sing and tweet melodiously,
And I take in the fragrance of the forest.
Time and seasons pass
And I sought solace in my walk
But I was lost.
Rough harsh granite greet my feet,
The cloud competes with clouds of smoke,
The sun smiled fiercely
Struggling to be seen behind tall buildings,
The sound of nature
Has been replaced by endless noise
Struggling vegetations get bruised by
Broken bottles and all forms of litter.
The smell of ruins replace
The fragrance of the forest
And Earth weep out loud
At the loss of another child!
