The Scarecrow Poem by Claire Galpin

The Scarecrow

A scarecrow stands very still,
It is made of sticks and rags,
What can be the use of it?
Is more than I can see?
It is supposed to scare the birds away,
But they don’t bother to look,
For they know it’s only a dummy,
So they carry on having a tuck.
