The Sea Poem by Reita Stephens

The Sea

Rating: 5.0

The Sea! The Sea! Of rolling dreams beats on the brightened shore,
And as I look into this rook of dreams I still want more.
I listen for a voice and bring unto my tiny ear,
The shell of crested open wave and this is what I hear:
Come in! Come in! From land to dream I wonder if you could.
But as I hear a different voice I ponder if I should,
Indifferent voice of danger lurks into the voided mind,
And though I try and reason with a durst is all I find.
The echo tempts with chores and tips of powering detail,
But as the durst went on and on I readied for a sail.
I listen to the voice of dream, so I abruptly turn and run,
I am! I am! The dreamy child who wants to touch the sun!
