Time had not healed the wounds, so deeply cut
The scarlet blood still oozes out to redden the soil
The cries have ceased, tears have dried
unheard and uncared for so long
Laughter and love remain distant dreams
Promises lay broken, Dreams shattered, their radiance lost
Wrongs that had been wrought, Remain undone
justice seems a long way off, undelivered........

Oh dear mother, we know not what to do
to escape the webs that draws close
to heal the wounds, so deeply cut
to live and love free like gone times
to make them hear our voices, sense our sorrows

We have suffered too long, silence stands witness
the fire in our eyes, still burn high
Fight that we must, for justice denied
The hope alone lingers still, the fear had fled
Life, we resolve, must go on, but not in tears
with laughter we shall fill it, lighted by love
We now do seek a new life, a new beginning
To fulfill shattered dreams, broken promises
