The Shadows They Cast Poem by Daniel Richards

The Shadows They Cast

They like to keep you in dark
They know the charade
You see the light, you pretended
And in the dark it all began
In the spirit of of control
And the power of greed
Blindly you live,
In matrix thinking you’re free
There’s a voice in your head
And you refuse to hear
There’s an enemy in your bed
Which will never surrender
So you live on simply as a pretender
