The SHOES of ' ALONE'
by Esther Falcomata

In a HALLOW place STILL and COLD
Waiting to be moved from a wanted HOLD
I am many faces MOVING several places
and yet, I am TOLD
'You can NEVER venture down that road'
They've tried the road of TRUST and kicked the wall
BLAME only turning inward of fated SHAME
Always moving forward feeling HATE, PAIN and LAME
For the path of understandings far off, somewhere
lost in the PLAINS
Dry are the crossroads of Hope and Faith, still
out travelling when its UNSAFE
Knowing that ahead COULD lie the passage DREAD
in the struggle to stay STRONG and BELONG
FREE of LONELY
ON that ROAD
the winds sing their SILENT SONG
and THERE rides NEVER ending
IN our shadows constant WONDER.....,
where did WE ever go WRONG
and WHY do our SHOES, still travel ALONE?
