The Sickening Suspense Poem by CHRISTOPHER MUDIENYI

The Sickening Suspense

You kill with sickening suspense,
And see no ounce of offence,
Could you fill us with a will of defense?
So that justice we can meritoriously dispense,
Dispense this justice at no expense,
Could I get from you a quick response?
Or you still want to kill me with suspense?
Is it a matter of coincidence?
To you it is like any other incidence,
Should I still have in you, the confidence?
Or should I seek for more reference?
All these questions I ask for relevance,
Because I feel this great reverence,
Reverence or is it just a semblance?
A mere semblance of confidence!
This hanging suspended suspense,
Makes us lack the confidence,
A confidence of a vote of no confidence,
This isn't merely a coincidence,
We are losing our esteemed patience,
We are now patients with your suspense,
A suspense that has killed our patience,
We give up on this patience.
